How We Make It Happen
Our Mission is to place exceptional young men and women, with demonstrated academic and personal skills and an interest in a life’s career path in national and international public policy, in premier fellowships in: government agencies, influential private sector firms, media outlets, non-governmental organizations, and think-tanks. This is with a view to enabling a new generation of young individuals to be tomorrow’s leaders, today.
Becoming a Distinguished Scholar of Canada is more than a simple application. Our selection process is vigorous and meticulous. Our Selection Committee, with a view to maintaining our excellent relationships with our hosts, selects on the highest calibre of individuals, ones that have superior scholastic achievement, a spectacular public service record, and have shown all the qualities and potential for future leadership development. And in addition to the placement, we ensure the Fellow has additional training outside of their fellowiship that we deem absolutely vital to their personal success.
Fellows therefore come out of the program with the necessary tools and skill-set to take their career to the next level, but are also expected to maintain a lifelong commitment to the Distinguished Scholars of Canada, thus ensuring future generations will benefit from this program.
